What is Piquup, exactly?
Piquup is an AI business manager for small service businesses. It runs the day-to-day operation — answers every call, text, and email, books real jobs on your real calendar, routes questions to your team and closes the loop, and remembers every customer — as one system working from one record. You watch it all from a dashboard; your customers just experience a business that always picks up.
Is this just an AI receptionist?
No. Answering the phone is one of eighteen systems Piquup runs. Tools in that category take a message and hand it back to you; Piquup closes it — books the job, updates the customer's record, and reports the day back to you when it's done.
What can it do today vs. what's coming?

Do I need to be technical to set it up?
No. You configure Piquup by talking to it and from a plain dashboard — your hours, your services, your booking rules, what counts as urgent. Teammates join from an invite link. There's nothing to install and no IT project.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes — Piquup answers on the number you already have, or gives you a new one if you'd rather start fresh. Departments can carry their own lines, each with its own voice and its own instructions. Your customers dial what they've always dialed.
What does it sound like?
Natural and warm, with sub-second responses — callers interrupt it, change their minds, and it keeps up. You pick the voice from a library, and it speaks as your business, not as a robot reading a script.
What happens when it can't answer a question?
It doesn't guess. Piquup texts the question to the teammate who'd know, and one line back is all it needs — it turns that reply into a polished answer sent to the customer from the business. The whole exchange lands on the customer's record, usually minutes after they asked.
Does it send email as me?
Only with your approval. Piquup triages what comes in and drafts the replies, but a draft waits in your queue until you approve it — nothing sends in your name until you say so.
Are the bookings real?
Real calendar, real durations. Piquup reads your Google Calendar live, holds the slot while the caller is still on the line, and books the length the job actually takes — then texts the customer a confirmation. No double-booking, no copying from a message pad.
How does it remember customers?
Callers are recognized by phone number before the first hello. Voice, email, and SMS all write to one record — history, preferences, notes — so nobody repeats themselves. Your whole team works from that same record.
Can it call customers back?
Yes. Ask for a callback and Piquup places the call, has the conversation, and logs it like any other. Outbound only happens on your say-so — it's your judgment, executed.
How do teammates join?
You send an invite link; that's the whole onboarding. Each teammate gets their own seat — the questions routed to them, their calls, their own view of the business — instead of a firehose of everything.
Can departments have their own lines?
Yes. Estimates can have one line and the office another, each with its own voice and its own instructions — and every conversation still writes to the same customer records underneath.
Can it take payments?
Not yet. The checkout surface already exists inside the product, and the Stripe rails are being built behind it. When it's real, the chip flips to Live — and not before.
What does Piquup cost?

What's this about starting companies?
On the roadmap, sequenced after the money layer: Piquup reaches back to day zero — incorporation, LLC first, plus the EIN and a compliance calendar that watches your filings. And because the manager already runs operations, the company is born operating: a number that answers, a business email, a workspace for the team, from the day it exists.
Who can see my customers' conversations?
You and the teammates you invite — that's it. Your customers' conversations stay your customers' conversations. We don't train shared models on your data, everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, and you can export every transcript and record any time you ask.
Can I run Piquup from Claude Code or ChatGPT?
That's in build. You'll connect from Claude Code, Codex, or ChatGPT, sign in with your Piquup account, and the agent and the dashboard become two windows onto one business. It's headed for the Claude and Codex plugin stores — nothing to install yet, and we won't pretend otherwise.
